Overview
This artifact is a thank-you note I received during Boss’s Day in recognition of my leadership and guidance with the Resident Assistant staff team. I included it because it provides qualitative evidence of how my supervisory approach was experienced by the staff I supported.
My Role
I supervised and supported Resident Assistants through regular meetings, guidance, feedback, and developmental conversations throughout the academic year.
What This Demonstrates
This artifact demonstrates that my leadership is not only visible in formal documents like agendas and evaluations, but also in the relationships I build with student staff. The note reflects appreciation for my guidance, accessibility, and support, which aligns with the kind of supervisor I strive to be. It shows that staff experienced my leadership as both encouraging and developmental. This matters because I believe strong supervision is not only about managing responsibilities, but also about helping others feel supported and capable as they grow.
